Russian Federation on wrong side of Syria war: Mike Pence warns Putin

Russian Federation on wrong side of Syria war: Mike Pence warns Putin

There "will be a price to pay" if Syria ever uses chemical weapons again, as the U.S. is ready to take additional action, Pence told reporters travelling with him to Peru to attend the Summit of the Americas.

United States Vice President Michael Pence on Saturday said that Russian Federation is "on the wrong side of the war" while referring to recent strikes on Syria by the U.S. along with Germany and France. Trump wondered aloud about Pence's decision, according to two sources briefed on the President's private conversations.

"To send American Astronauts back to the moon, where we will establish the capacity with worldwide and Commercial partners to send Americans to mars", said Vice President Pence.

The US conducted the military action jointly with Britain and France in response to alleged chemical weapons use by the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

"This is something we can not accept, the use of chemical weapons on civilians", Trudeau said, "and the worldwide community needs to continue to stand extremely strongly as we continue to hold Syria accountable".

Trump to Russia: "Get ready" for United States missile strikes on Syria
Theresa May is reportedly moving submarines towards Syria, and may authorise a military strike without a vote in Parliament . Meanwhile, the Syrian government has put its forces on "high alert" amid the looming threat of a U.S. military response.

This was Pence's first media interaction after United States forces launched precision strikes against Assad regime targets associated with the use of chemical weapons in Syria.

For his part, Pence thanked Canada for backing the strikes and echoed Trump, British Prime Minister Theresa May and French President Emmanuel Macron in saying Syria's chemical-weapons facilities had been "degraded and crippled".

There had been hopes leading up to this weekend's summit that an agreement might be signed, but that did not happen and instead, USA negotiators softened their demands on autos even as Trump said he will to renegotiate "forever".

The vice president also said that the topic of funding for U.S. President Donald Trump's proposed wall on the U.S. border with Mexico did not come up in Pence's meeting with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto.
