Ben Simmons Or Donovan Mitchell? Draymond Green Picks Rookie Of The Year

Ben Simmons Or Donovan Mitchell? Draymond Green Picks Rookie Of The Year

Ben Simmons #25 of the Philadelphia 76ers poses for a picture during media day on September 26, 2016 in Camden, New Jersey. But the thing I've said all year is we knew we were going to be good.

Simmons made his remarks about the Rookie of the Year race in an interview with ESPN on Saturday.

Plenty weighed in to the original sweatshirt comment.

Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell used his wardrobe to make a pregame statement Tuesday night. That was the same season that ended with the sixth overall pick in the 2012 draft win NBA Rookie of the Year honors.

With one game remaining in the regular season, Simmons is averaging 15.9 points, 8.2 assists and 8.2 rebounds per game while helping the Sixers to a 51-30 record and third place in the Eastern Conference.

Mitchell, a 6-foot-3 combo guard, is averaging a rookie-high 20.5 points per game and became the fastest rookie in league history to knock down 150 3-pointers, reaching the mark in 63 games.

Long-lost daughter reunited with family after 24 years
During his time there, he put up a sign on the window of his auto asking people for more information on his missing daughter. Kang contacted Wang and the pair realised that she shared some particular features including a small scar on her forehead.

Of all the major National Basketball Association awards this season, the Rookie of the Year race is by far the most intriguing. But Green also said that if he had a say, Mitchell would get his vote because he's a "true" rookie.

"I really don't care", Mitchell said.

The apparent feud, if that's the correct definition, took a competitive turn after the Sixers sensation told ESPN he thought was unquestionably the most deserving candidate for the award. I think I have been playing solid all year. We're happy to offer an exclusive look at Episode 4 of Mitchell's short-form digital docu-series, "Rookie On The Rise".

Then on Tuesday, Mitchell wore his rookie hoodie.

Following Utah's 119-79 win over the Golden State Warriors, Mitchell said he intially had his reservations about wearing the hoodie when Adidas approcahed him, "but yesterday happened, so I was like, 'Cool'".

Mitchell's logic may not be the most sound in this case but, at any rate, there is no wiggle room in the way he views Simmons' rookie status and, by extension, his candidacy. If the question is simply who has performed better this year, there is no wrong answer.
