Wildcat Wearhouse raises funds for fallen Pikeville officer's family

Pikeville Police Officer Scotty Hamilton, a 12-year veteran, was killed in the line of duty Tuesday night. Not long after, shots were fired near the residence.

The Pikeville Police Department said one of their officers has died after he was shot and killed in the line of duty. Trooper Martin located Officer Hamilton who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.

Hamilton was pronounced dead at the scene.

The gunman managed to flee the scene, and authorities have not yet named a suspect.

KSP spokesperson Jody Sims' said police had obtained an arrest warrant charging Hall with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and they also want to question him about the killing of Pikeville Police Officer Scotty Hamilton.
