Google is testing a bottom nav bar in the Phone app

Google is testing a bottom nav bar in the Phone app

The company has now started rolling out the new Google Pay app for Android.

Google Pay has all the features you see in Android Pay and Google Wallet except one that most people find useful, and that is peer-to-peer payments.

For the time being, Big G insists on highlighting a familiar but certainly convenient new Home tab where you can get the Google Pay info "you need, right when you need it". Google objective is that users have a consistent checkout experience using the cards saved in Google Account. It aims at making the checkout process easier for users while making payments on Android devices. Today, we're seeing the end result of those efforts, as the new Google Pay app has officially launched on the Play Store.

Over the years, Google has had multiple payment-related products and the company has made it unnecessarily complicated for the consumers. The "Cards" half packs your credit cards, debit cards, loyalty cards, offers and gift cards. The Google Wallet app is changing to 'Google Pay Send, ' which seems like an overcomplication, but oh well.

Three Britons die in Grand Canyon helicopter crash
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Allen Kenitzer said the Eurocopter EC130 aircraft sustained considerable damage. Authorities said the four survivors were level one trauma patients, meaning they had critical, life-threatening injuries.

Google is reportedly testing a new navigation bar feature for its phone dialer app which brings the in-app shortcuts to the bottom of the screen. The app can also be used to pay for transit in select cities, such as Kiev, Portland, and London, with more cities to be supported soon. But in the next few months, the app will inherit Google Wallet's peer-to-peer payments features and allow users to send and request money.

The Google Pay movement is meant to make payment at POS and online faster and seamless. Android Pay's interface was incredibly simple, but functional as well.

We've seen little tidbits of Google Pay showing up on Android following Google's original announcement, but the full change was announced in today's blog post.

It's quite obvious that this latest Google app feature is still on infancy stage, indicating that there will be improvements to come in future versions. According to Google, Google Pay is not working with iPhones.
