Cranberries' Dolores O'Riordan Mourned by Thousands at Public Memorial in Ireland

Thousands have gathered in Limerick to remember the life of the Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O'Riordan, who died last week in London.

Hundreds of fans have arrived to pay their respects and say goodbye the to the rock singer.

"We come to offer a heartfelt greeting to a deeply loved and cherished daughter of Limerick, a talented representative of the potential of Limerick people and a convinced advocate of living life in truth, love and peace".

This afternoon, her coffin was carried into Saint Joseph's Church in Limerick.

On Monday her body will be removed to Ballybricken, ahead of funeral mass on Tuesday at St Ailbe's Church. Tuesday's service will then be followed by a private family burial.

As the church has a limited capacity of only 200 places, attendance is strictly reserved for extended family and close friends.

She will now be buried next to her dad Terry, who died from cancer aged 68, in their family plot at Caherally Cemetery outside of her home town of Ballybricken.

"Subsequently, the Met police attended and they determined the death to be non-suspicious", he added, as quoted by The Guardian.
