Obama beats Trump in America's Most Admired Man poll

Obama beats Trump in America's Most Admired Man poll

Following a year in which he achieved new lows in approval ratings for a new president, Trump is now the first chief executive to not win Gallup's Most Admired Man poll in the first year of his presidency since, uh, ever.

However, a quarter of those surveyed failed to name any man or woman who they admired, while 10% of people opted to nominate a friend or family member.

Former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton remain the most admired man and woman in the United States - a 10-year trend for Obama and 16 years running for Clinton. Michelle Obama was just behind Clinton on that list, with 7 percent to Clinton's 9 percent.

"Trump's unpopularity is holding him back from winning the most admired distinction", Gallup observes. On the men's side, the 2016 election winner wasn't the, well, winner.

The game doesn't have a release date, but it's expected to arrive sometime in 2018, alongside Atlus' port of Dragon's Crown Pro . With the original game surprisingly gaining a competitive scene, this remake will include online multiplayer battles.

Trump was looking up to him in the polls, with 14% saying they most admired the current President.

Trailing far behind Trump in the 2017 survey were Pope Francis with 3 percent; Rev. Billy Graham, U.S. Sen.

While Obama tops the Most Admired Men list, Hillary Clinton has topped the Most Admired Woman list. She has also held the title 22 times, more than any other person, either man or woman.

Gallup's poll was based on phone interviews December 4-11 with a random sample of 1,049 adults living in all 50 US states and D.C. Nevertheless, Clinton retained enough support among the public to top every other woman on the list. "Eleanor Roosevelt is second with 13 wins", Gallup reports. "But the likelihood that she will continue to hold that honor in future years seems less certain, with her popularity at a nadir and the percentage naming her as most admired the lowest in 15 years", it stated.
