'House of Cards' production to resume in 2018

Sarandos announced that House of Cards would continue production of a sixth and final season starring Robin Wright, and without Kevin Spacey, in early 2018.

The eight-episode final season is set to "bring closure of the show for fans", according to Netflix president Ted Sarandos, who spoke about the show at USB's Global Media and Communications Conference in NY. Deadline reports that it will be an abridged season of eight-episodes used to wrap things up in a satisfying manner. It has not yet clarified how character's exit from series will occur, although end of last season already left Claire Underwood, character played by Robin Wright, stepping forward in front of her husband.

Filming is scheduled to resume early 2018.

Sarandos added he was thrilled to have been able to reach the deal for the 370 people who directly work on the popular series and "the 2,000 people in Baltimore" who have jobs working for "HOC".

Jonny Bairstow: ECB investigating 'headbutt' involving Cameron Bancroft before Ashes
Bairstow was reportedly quick to apologise after the incident, and there is no police involvement or official complaints. Reports in Australia suggested Bairstow headbutted batsman Bancroft on a night out in Perth four weeks ago.

The Oscar victor was subsequently fired from the show, sparking rumours suggesting that would mark the end for House of Cards. As more allegations surfaced, Spacey's representative told the press that the actor was seeking treatment.

Spacey was ultimately booted from the series following multiple accusations of sexual harassment.

What do you think about this decision for House of Cards season 6?

Netflix followed suit, stating it would 'not be involved with any further production of House Of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey'. Now production will remain on hiatus into the new year. The fifth season of the drama ended with her character taking over as USA president.

Spacey said after the first allegation that he was "beyond horrified" by Rapp's claim of assault.
