China 'Caught Red Handed' Giving North Korea Oil

China 'Caught Red Handed' Giving North Korea Oil

China accounts for the vast majority of North Korea's external trade and oil supplies.

While Russia exports some oil to North Korea, China is the main source of oil for the rogue nation, according to Reuters.

The U.S. Treasury Department placed six North Korean shipping and trading companies and 20 of their ships on sanctions list on November 21, when it published spy satellite images taken on October 19 showing a ship named Ryesonggang 1 connected to a Chinese vessel.

But China only agreed to target the four North Korean ships, diplomats said, as part of the bid to curb Pyongyang's missile and nuclear programs.

In recent months, Trump's administration has praised Beijing for its efforts to tame North Korea.

The Chosun Ilbo, a South Korean newspaper, reported December 26 that US spy satellites had observed Chinese vessels allegedly transferring oil to North Korean ships in the sea between the two countries about 30 times since October, citing unidentified South Korea government officials. There will never be a friendly solution to the North Korea problem if this continues to happen!

Palestinian teen remains in coma after being shot by Israeli forces
Israeli occupation forces arrested a 16-year-old Palestinian early on Tuesday from her town near the West Bank city of Ramallah. According to locals, the bullet settled in the boy's skull after it entered his face below his nose and broke his jaw.

On Dec. 15, Trump said Russian Federation - another significant trading partner with North Korea - had failed to help, while China had.

The US-drafted resolution bans the supply of almost 75 percent of refined oil products to North Korea, puts a cap on crude deliveries and orders North Korean nationals working overseas to be sent back by the end of 2019.

A government source told the South Korean newspaper that, "We need to focus on the fact that the illicit trade started after a UN Security Council resolution in September drastically capped North Korea's imports of refined petroleum products".

The State Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment on that report.

However, the report published by South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo has already been refuted by China's foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying on December 27, who stated that Beijing had no information on this issue, emphasizing that the country "completely and strictly" implements United Nations sanctions. The US Treasury Department later placed six North Korean shipping and trading companies and 20 of their vessels on sanctions list.
