Putin Says North Korea Crisis Can Be Solved By Diplomatic Means

While Putin reiterated Moscow's opposition to new sanctions against North Korea, he told reporters he had assured South Korean President Moon Jae-in that Moscow condemns North Korea's nuclear test and thinks it "flagrantly violates" global law.

He said they shared the view that the North's nuclear issue should be resolved quickly to realize the "infinite potentials" of the Korean Peninsula and the Far East region.

Moon said the leaders agreed that reducing regional tension and "quickly solving" the security challenges posed by North Korea's nuclear and missile program were critical.

First on the itinerary for the four-months-old South Korean president: An exclusive one-on-one with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The statements were made shortly after the meeting with South Korea's President Moon Jae-in, which took place in Vladivostok on Wednesday.

Several U.S. military vehicles, including trucks carrying payloads covered in black sheets that appeared to be launchers, were seen heading toward a former golf course where the system has been installed.

PM Modi arrives in China to attend BRICS summit
Issues like counter-terrorism and the global financial crisis will also come for up discussion. Later, the prime minister will visit Myanmar to boost bilateral ties from 5th to 7th September.

The comments come as the United States is proposing a range of new UN sanctions against North Korea following its sixth nuclear bomb test.

"If we fail to stop North Korea's provocations now, it could sink into an uncontrollable situation".

Russian Federation won't stop delivering oil products to North Korea, as dialogue, not sanctions, is the only solution to the crisis, said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

In talks with Putin, Abe also hopes to get Russia's support for strengthening pressure on North Korea, which on Sunday conducted its latest in an ongoing series of ballistic missile and nuclear tests in defiance of U.N. Security Council resolutions.

Seonju residents and activists have raised worries over rumored health hazards and the possibility of being targeted by North Korean attacks. "It would be very hard - actually, impossible", Putin told reporters.
