Netanyahu Meets Egypt's a-Sisi in First Public Forum

As president El Sisi discussed Egypt's efforts to revive the peace process, he also said that any global initiatives with the goal of reaching a reasonable compromise between all the interested parties were welcome. "Most people would say 'there's no chance whatsoever, '" Trump said as he began a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in NY ahead of the U.N. General Assembly's meeting.

Egypt has been mediating between Abbas' internationally recognised Palestinian Authority located in the West Bank and Hamas, which has controled the Gaza Strip since 2007.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi urged the Palestinians to overcome their differences and be ready to co-exist with each other and with Israelis in safety and security.

Monday's meeting, which follows mediation in Cairo between Palestinian arch-rivals Fatah and Hamas, reflects Egypt's will to return to the forefront of the Middle East diplomatic scene.

Although Monday was the first time the two men had met in public, they had previously been involved in secret talks together.

Netanyahu's office issued a statement saying that the discussion was "comprehensive" and dealt with the "problems in the region".

FTC is investigating the Equifax breach
Equifax, a credit monitoring service, says 143 million Americans may have had personal information exposed during a data breach. The patch would have been time consuming as it involved rebuilding hundreds of apps using the new updated software.

The United States will consider resuming some suspended military assistance to Egypt, US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday.

"The US has its own perspective that Egypt is paying its full respects, however the US's designation of such group as terrorists may take more time - not only for the US, but also for the entire world", Al-Sisi explained.

Last month, Egypt described the United States decision to reduce aid as a "misguided decision given the nature of the strategic relations" that have bound the two countries for four decades.

At the start of their meeting, Mr Trump was keen to stress that achieving Middle East peace was a priority for his administration.
