CAR Says Ryanair Passengers Entitled To Refund

CAR Says Ryanair Passengers Entitled To Refund

Ryanair published the full list of cancellations - that it said was now less than 50 flights per day - and said where possible, they had been allocated to its bigger base airports where it could offer disrupted customers the maximum number of alternative flights.

At a press conference on Monday afternoon, O'Leary said: "This is our mess up".

The Irish no-frills airline said Friday it would scrap up to about 2,000 flights over six weeks as it struggles with pilot availability and is hoping to restore a high level of punctuality.

They have been listed on www.ryanair.com and cover the period up to October 28.

Passengers whose flights have been cancelled by Ryanair are being advised of their rights by the Commission for Aviation Regulation.

"This is clearly a mess up, I take responsibility for the mess up and I have to clear it up".

"We think it will cost us up to €5 million in the next 6 weeks, and the EU261 compensation up to €20 million".

This will inform them what flights they can transfer to which will be "hopefully on the same or, at worse, the next day".

Apple TV Is Finally Getting Support for 4K and HDR Video
Apple said it's working with Netflix for 4K titles and will launch Amazon Prime Video support later this year. The Apple TV 4K also has, compared to its predecessor, much more power under the hood.

The flight must have departed from an EU airport, operating by any airline, or it must be arriving into an EU airport and be operated by an EU airline.

"It must arrange alternative flights or provide a full refund for everyone affected".

If you have lost bookings and had flights cancelled that were paid for by credit card, and the airline or insurer refuse to pay out, you could try claiming to your card provider under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.

"This is our mess-up". The same goes for two other flights, on Wednesday, to and from Barcelona.

Mr O'Leary insisted the airline is "not short of pilots" as he explained the reason behind the cancellations. By cancelling less than two per cent of our flying programme over the next six weeks (until our winter schedule starts in early November), we can improve the operational resilience of our schedules and restore punctuality to our annualised target of 90 per cent.

Ryanair is changing its holiday year, which now runs from April to March, to run from January to December instead.

How do I reply for a refund?

Among those cancelled with be one in four flights out of Stansted and one in 13 flights out of Dublin.
