September 12, Mark The Date For Launch Event Of iPhone 8

Bloomberg reports that the iPhone 8 won't have a Home button in favor of gesture controls.

Apple's September 12 event, however, will not only be all about the iPhone, as the company is expected to unveil several other products.

Apple has never differentiated iPhone models within a family on cellular capabilities (Broadcom provides RF chips in support of the iPhone's cellular subsystem) or connectivity capabilities (Broadcom provides the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity combo chip).

Even more interesting is the new motherboard design Apple has come up with for the iPhone 8. Given that more than 50% of the company's revenues are generated by the iPhone, it's disturbing news, especially for shareholders. That includes ditching the Home button in favor of waving your finger around, it turns out.

As the iPhone 8 is ultimately only the size of the 7, which a battery almost the size of the Plus (which ran longer than 24 hours), it will run all day (longer) long no matter what you're trying to do with it.

Jailing of Samsung heir raises questions over company's outlook
Samsung , one of the companies credited with helping rebuild war-torn South Korea, is now assumed to be neck-deep in corruption. Lee denied any involvement and any wrongdoing in the scandal and his lawyer said that he would appeal the conviction.

The report claims that the status area on the iPhone 8 is being called internally by Apple employees as "ears", as it's split into two areas on either side of the cutout.

However, there's some doubt about whether the more mainstream iPhone models - commonly referred to as the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, respectively - will have the feature.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo - who has a long track record of accurate predictions of Apple products - predicts the phone will have a revolutionary 3D sensing camera for facial recognition, which will work with Apple's new augmented reality software. While the iPhone maker has not yet thrown out a press invites that would confirm that iPhone 8 launch date, a number of reliable sources mentioned it, which potentially means an announcement is impending. Their sources confirmed that the company will be unveiling three iPhones, one of which will be the highly anticipated iPhone 8.

Reports also say that the third party charging pads will have to be licensed via Mfi program which explains the reason to why wireless charging would have to wait for an iOS 11 update and not be available out of the box.

It's suppose to be the most expensive iPhone Apple has made in the ten years of it's production. The status bar will also reportedly "change based on the task at hand", although exactly how is unclear.
