Putin approves Foreign Ministry's statement in response to United States sanctions

Putin approves Foreign Ministry's statement in response to United States sanctions

Lawmakers have voted overwhelmingly to slap new sanctions on Russian Federation over its meddling in the USA election and land grab in Crimea. The decision by Moscow to intervene was widely seen as move to exert Putin's influence in the region.

Russian Federation took its first steps on Friday to retaliate against proposed American sanctions for Moscow's suspected meddling in the 2016 election, seizing two American diplomatic properties and ordering the United States Embassy to reduce staff by September.

If Trump chooses to veto it, the bill is expected to garner enough support in both chambers to override his veto and pass it into law.

Russian Federation will have to respond to the United States sanctions at some point, Putin has warned.

Trump's team has argued it needs flexibility to pursue a more collaborative diplomacy with Russian Federation which, by United States intelligence consensus, interfered in last year's presidential election. The legislation also would prevent the president from easing sanctions without congressional approval.

The sanctions, which House lawmakers approved overwhelmingly this week, "are also absolutely unlawful from the point of view of global law", he added, according to the news outlet. Since then, though, the administration has hedged, saying that Trump will have to review the measure.

"We continue to support strong sanctions against those three countries", Sanders said on Thursday.

The decision regarding Russia's response measures to new U.S. sanctions will be made only after a final version of the relevant United States bill appears, Putin said.

Poland Passes Law That EU Says Threatens Country's Democracy
Ideally, therefore, victory needs to be won by the people of Poland, supported by democrats and progressives everywhere. The bill will go to parliament's upper house on Friday, where PiS has an absolute majority.

"This practice is unacceptable - it destroys internatioanl relations and worldwide law", Putin said of sanctions.

The Russian strongman slammed the intensifying probe into Russian meddling in the U.S. presidential election, saying it bore witness to "a rise in anti-Russian hysteria" in Washington.

Echoing Trump's own repeated assertion that the Russian Federation investigations were "fake news" ginned up by crestfallen Democrats to explain Hillary Clinton's defeat, Putin said he did not consider the various inquiries in Washington as investigations "because an investigation envisages full clarification of all circumstances, studying and hearing various parties". Russian Federation supports the Syrian regime's offensive against the jihadist group Islamic State since 2015 and sent its first military battalion to Syria last December, the agency added. What we see is merely a growth of anti-Russian hysteria...for domestic policies between President Trump, and his political opponents.

On Thursday, the erstwhile Trump-Putin romance hit a new low when the U.S. Senate joined the House in approving a new set of economic sanctions on Russian Federation, passing the measure with an overwhelming, veto-proof majority that essentially guarantees that Trump will sign the bill whenever it lands on his desk, despite the White House's protestations that the president needs more flexibility to "pursue a more collaborative diplomacy" with Russian Federation.

Putin was vague on exactly how Russian Federation might respond. Obama said such measures were to punish Moscow for its interference in last year's presidential election.

Elsewhere in his remarks، Putin said warmer ties between Washington and Moscow would help the two sides achieve better results in the "fight with terrorism،" adding that if the two act in agreement، they "could solve very acute problems much more effectively".

"At some moment we'll have to retaliate". "It's impossible to endlessly tolerate impudence directed at your country".
