Kanye West Leaves TIDAL, JAY-Z Threatens to Sue

Kanye West Leaves TIDAL, JAY-Z Threatens to Sue

Amid a brewing money dispute between Jay-Z's Tidal and Kanye West over the exclusive release of his latest album, TMZ reports that West is done with exclusive releases once and for all.

The split reportedly stems from West's Life of Pablo album, which brought 1.5 million new subscribers to Tidal.

Over the next two weeks that followed, lawyers for both sides tried to resolve the conflict but failed.

Tidal is reportedly claiming that West didn't produce the videos required under his contract, while West is supposedly saying that he'll produce the videos once he's paid.

Although Tidal is a company acting out of its own best interests, it's hard not to see this fight as a very literal Kanye vs. Jay-Z beef, especially after Hov's criticism of Kanye on 4:44. Tidal claims to pay more royalties and was set up as a co-ownership with Jay-Z's artist friends like Madonna and Coldplay's Chris Martin.

The report also states that Tidal haven't reimbursed the rapper for a number of his music videos. West's attorney sent in an official letter to Tidal formalizing the rapper's departure from the company.

Blockading countries send list of 13 demands to Qatar
In Egypt , it was seen as sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood-backed president Mohammed Morsi, who came to power in 2012. Qatar has said it will not negotiate until Arab nations lift their blockade against their neighbor.

Some believe that Jay-Z threw a subliminal shot at Kanye on the song "Kill Jay-Z".

According to TMZ, West chose to leave the music streaming service after being owed $3.8 million.

The fued between Kanye West and Jay-Z has reached a new level due to a reported lawsuit filed by Kanye West. And West, of course, says he'll sue right back.

Kanye West will reportedly sue Tidal in case the streaming service slaps him with legal action for walking away.

"Jay Z - call me, bruh". Jay-Z's strained friendship with West seems to be the focus of one track from the "4:44" album.

"But this "f**k everybody" attitude ain't natural/But you ain't the same, this ain't KumbaYe (sic)/But you got hurt because you think KumbaYe/You gave him 20 million without thinking/He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f**k was he thinking?"
