Spicer Hasn't Spoken to Trump About 'Level of Confidence' in Sessions

The travel ban, which Trump says is aimed at preventing attacks in the United States, seeks to halt entry to the United States for 90 days for people from several predominantly Muslim countries and bar refugees for four months. The Tweet reads, "Despite the constant negative press covfefe". The premise, which we can not even call "authoritarian" or any other bad words because it is simply too stone-cold stupid to be categorized, is that when Donald Trump farts out his various daily brain spasms into the public eye, the proper thing to do is ignore them because what the sitting president himself announces in public is, according to this walking, talking warning of the perils of unchecked cocaine addiction, evidence of malevolence against him. But you know, we need to look at official statements that have been filtered for the policy but meanwhile the tweets are unfiltered look as to how President Trump is looking at the world considering whether it's terrorism, whether it's travel, whether it's whatever it may be, jobs, the economy, tax reform, health reform. As my colleague Eric Levitz pointed out, the president's actual intentions in promoting his travel ban are at the center of the litigation now holding it up - which the administration (i.e., those "politically correct" DOJ lawyers Trump excoriates in one tweet) is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to resolve. Instead, he blamed the decision on the Justice Department, which is simply carrying out his order.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer on Tuesday declined to say whether President Donald Trump has confidence in Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

"I am calling it what we need and what it is, a TRAVEL BAN!" the president wrote.

A senior administration official said that at one point, Sessions expressed he would be willing to resign if Trump no longer wanted him there.

And yet, over the last 48 hours, a slew of Trump surrogates - not to mention Trump himself - have tried to argue that the only way to understand Trump's social media presence is to hold both of those ideas in your head at the same time. The implication being: Trump's tweets are not news, and the media covering them as such should back off.

Trump said before his inauguration he meant to name New York Jets owner Woody Johnson as USA ambassador to the UK.

The cloud of investigation - the very thing a White House war room would be set up to handle - has put even some of Trump's backers and potential defenders in an uncomfortable position. "They are nothing but OBSTRUCTIONISTS!"

Sunday saw Trump respond to Khan's comment on Twitter.

China will stick to Paris climate deal
The simple reason is America would join just two other countries in refusing to back the Paris agreement , Nicaragua and Syria. Donald Trump listens to the prime minister of Belgium during a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Brussels.

"It has to move at a quicker pace", he said on "Fox & Friends" yesterday. Democrats are no longer able to filibuster presidential nominations, though they can slow action in other ways.

New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman later confirmed the ABC report.

"President Trump ought to roll up his sleeves and get to work rather than pointing false fingers of blame".

"When the President tweets, we should treat those words as formal", Neiss said. Some of that fear abated, these aides said, when Trump entered the White House.

"Twitter is completely flat", he said.

"The president is the President of the United States", Spicer stated. Three people briefed on the matter said the process has been bogged down by a lack of decision-making in the West Wing over how to proceed, as well as reluctance from some of those the White House hoped to recruit about serving a president who keeps getting in his own way.

A spokesman for Conway verified that he controls the account.
