Watch Miley Cyrus's video for new single 'Malibu'

We caught up with Miley to talk about "Malibu" and she said she's the happiest she's been for a long time.

Miley Cyrus is taking her fans on a breezy jaunt to "Malibu" on her first solo pop single in almost four years.

The couple reunited after a break as Cyrus says she needed to find herself, so she got clean and hasn't smoked weed in a few weeks.

Miley previously revealed that the song was about longtime boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, and it's hard to dispute that after listening to the lyrics. This is a very different Miley from her "Wrecking Ball" days, and you won't be able to stop watching. "It's a brand-new start/ A dream come true in Malibu", she sings. "So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, 'This is how I feel?'"

Cyrus' 6th studio album has yet to have its release date announced but Miley will be taking the stage at the Billboard Music Awards on May 21st.

"This record is a reflection of the fact that yes, I don't give a f**k", she continues.

Compared to her father's country crooning by some and to Lana Del Rey's dreamy singing by others, there's no denying that "Malibu" is all Miley.

Instead, "Malibu", released on Thursday afternoon, is a sweet, tear-jerking tribute to her actor fiancé, Liam Hemsworth. I want to be super clear and sharp, because I know exactly where I want to be. "Suddenly you're like, 'I don't recognise you anymore, '" she explained.
