Staffer Says She Was Fired After Using Harassment Hotline

Staffer Says She Was Fired After Using Harassment Hotline

What is even more dumbfounding, however, is that Fox Radio's Vice President and General Manager, who conducted the termination in question was, according to media reports, fired from his prior job at ABC, after ABC learned of his improper use of on-line material that included a sexually explicit photograph that was turned over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Jessica Golloher, who covers the Middle East and North Africa for Fox News Radio Network, says in the lawsuit that instead of addressing complaints, Fox is using the harassment hotline "to paint targets on the backs of employees". One incident recounted in the complaint involved Golloher being told to go out "on the street" while covering the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, to report on a recent ban on "lacy underwear imports" enacted by Moscow. She said she was instructed to act as his translator.

Ailes denied the claims, but Fox agreed to pay $20 million to settle Carlson's lawsuit.

Jessica Golloher's lawyer made it pretty clear yesterday in a letter to United Kingdom regulators that legal action was coming against Fox News Channel over the treatment of the Fox News Radio reporter, and today the discrimination and retaliation complaint hit the courts.

After Golloher complained to her supervisor about having to do "secretarial" work, she was placed on an overnight shift, while Owen was assigned a more desirable day shift.

"Since she has been informed of her termination, Ms. Golloher continues to be excluded from work assignments", writes Wigdor.

In another example, set two years later, Golloher says she complained to her superiors that an anchor-producer colleague was making "relentless edits" to her scripts and treating her like a "vapid, unintelligent female reporter". While the reason given was "budgetary concerns", Golloher claims it was retaliation for trying to report mistreatment.

Trump visited the AMES Companies in Pennsylvania's Cumberland County, a shovel manufacturer since 1774. At the 100-day mark, Trump's approval rating is the lowest of any modern President.

According to the filing, when she complained about a male anchor's allegedly "rude and disparaging" behavior, she was told there had been similar complaints about the anchor but that she should just 'fly under the radar'.

Jessica Golloher, a reporter based in Israel, claims that "within 24 hours" of sending an email to the firm's independent investigator, she was "without any prior warning, fired".

The defendants are Twenty-First Century Fox, Fox News Network, Hank Weinbloom and Mitch Davis, in their individual and professional capacities.

A Jerusalem-based Fox News employee is suing the network for discrimination and retaliation, following up on a statement made to European regulators that more litigation was coming by an attorney who is representing more than a dozen clients against the network.

"We will vigorously defend the matter", the Fox representative maintained.

Golloher seeks compensatory and punitive damages for discrimination and retaliation in violation of the New York State Human Rights Law, New York Executive Law and the New York City Human Rights Law.
