Privately-held General Wireless Operations (d/b/a RadioShack) and three affiliated Debtors filed for Chapter 11 protection with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the District of DE, lead case number 17-10506.
The electronics chain now operates 10 stores in Western Mass., and one store in Worcester and over 30 in the eastern part of the state.
The store's website said 185 RadioShack's are closing this week.
