Netanyahu: Israel will continue to stop weapons transfers to Hezbollah

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Friday confirmed its first operational use of the advanced Arrow missile defense system, which it said was used to shoot down a Syrian anti-aircraft missile that was sacked at an Israeli jet.

But the Israeli media said the airstrikes were targeting Hezbollah-bond weapons shipment.

Friday's encounter was the most serious clash between Israel and Syria since the start of the Syrian civil war six years ago.

"All of our aircraft returned to their bases without any threats posed by Syrian air defenses", Israeli army spokesman Avijaa Odraei told Anadolu Agency.

The Syrian army released a statement saying that four Israeli jets conducted an airstrike, and they responded with anti-aircraft missiles.

Liberman then warned Syria that should it attack Israeli planes in its sky one more time, "we will destroy those Syrian anti-aircraft systems". The Arrow is created to knock down incoming ballistic missiles and was developed with financial and technical assistance from the United States.

Speaking on Israel public radio Sunday morning, Liberman said, "The next time the Syrians use their air defense systems against our airplanes, we will destroy all of them without thinking twice".

The army said the incident set off sirens in Jewish settlement communities in the Jordan Valley, part of the West Bank.

The transaction, if it goes as planned, will make the Kushners partner with Anbang Insurance Group, a Chinese corporation. A White House spokesman told Bloomberg that Kushner will recuse himself from subjects such as the EB-5 visa program.

China seeks to avoid trade war with US
The Premier of State further highlighted that China will continue to open up to the world, even on a higher level. The policy is the "political foundation of China-US relations", the premier said.

Presumably, the two leaders discussed Israel's commitment to defending its northern border against attacks by Hezbollah or Islamic groups in Syria, which now includes ISIS.

"Israel does not usually confirm or deny individual raids, but it may have been led to do so this time by the circumstances of the incident", Israeli worldwide news TV channel i24 News reported on the issue.

"Our policy is very consistent".

The Israeli military said its planes were already back in Israeli airspace when the SAMs were fired.

"When we identify attempts to transfer advanced weapons to Hezbollah and we have intelligence and it is operationally feasible, we act to prevent it", according to the Times of Israel.

His comments came after the Israeli army announced that its aircraft have carried out several strikes inside Syria.

Iranian-backed Hezbollah has been fighting inside Syria in support of President Bashar al-Assad against the rebels. None of the missiles struck the jets, but one was intercepted by a missile defense system north of Jerusalem, Haaretz reports, adding there were no Israeli casualties in the incident.
