Mann Ki Baat: PM Narendra Modi announces 26-week maternity leave

Prime Minister Modi urged people on Sunday to take the fight against black money and corruption to the "next level" and asked them to use less cash and rely more on digital transactions in their daily lives.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi returns to the radio for his monthly radio broadcast "Mann Ki Baat" where he reaches out directly to the public.

He appealed to people to shift transactions, such as paying school fees, for travel or medicines, to the digital mode. The poorest of the poor are making attempts to learn, and people are gradually moving towards doing business without cash.

Observing that the budget had announced that there would be 2500 crore digital transactions this year, he said if 125 crore countrymen can resolve, "they need not wait for a year; they can do it in six months".

In an address to a convention of the spiritual organization Brahma Kumaris in Mount Abu via video conferencing, Modi also said the central theme of India's tradition is that God is one.

Urging the people to become a courageous soldier in the fight against black money and corruption, Prime minister asked 125 crore countrymen to undertake 2500 crore digital transactions during this year. We should all participate and make the 3rd Yoga Day a memorable one.
